American Son: A Portrait of John F. Kennedy , Jr.
by Richard Blow
(My current read ...)

I found this book while on a bike ride with my family. We stopped long enough to beat the heat by grabbing lunch at Stone Soup (love that place) and to check out a little corner bookstore. I am really enjoying the writer's style and the 'inside' look at JFK, Jr. He was my age when he died in a plane crash. That is a sobering thought.

What are you reading??!

Sounds interesting. I'm reading "The Woodsman's Daughter", just a little historical fiction.

I'm reading the second to last of the Anne of Green Gables series, Anne of Rainbow Valley. I'm almost done. I think I read them when I was in middle school, but I forgot everything I read then. How are you on the page? It describes you?

Alyson, .... You'll have to let me know how you like the "Woodsman's" book! Nadell, I saw Anne of Green Gables when I was much younger (middle school) I think. I'm pretty sure I liked it! As for being on page 141 - that's the page I've read up to. On that particular page, John had just recently married Caroline and she was struggling to deal with the media. It's seems his entire life was under the media's watchful/chasing eye ...

I finished reading this book ... It was good. I have a new appreciation for JFK, Jr. and his quest to find himself and make a difference. For the record, I cried at the end... when the author talked about packing up his stuff and leaving the "George" workplace - I've never been good at goodbyes and this particular one really touched me.
