{Wendy's Hodgepodge}
In other words this is a big blogpile ... of stuff from my life! :)
I'd like to introduce you to my sister in law - Kathy ... (:)) She is married to my brother Robby. They paid us a very fun, surprise visit on Saturday night and it was wonderful to chat and 'catch up' ... We've got plans for some future 'girlie' bonding fun! Can't wait :) ---
This is my brother, Robby and his son - Grant. Robby just started medical school and lives about an hour away from us!! We are thrilled to have them close by ... Love you guys! We spent an exciting Friday night putting a few of our belongings in our storage unit. I secured this storage place earlier in the week and couldn't believe the paperwork required. It took an hour to lock it all down. WOW - you'd think I was buying the space not renting it. It was funny!
Ahhhhh that's my son Kade and his happy smile. He has been sick for almost 2 weeks and it was so good to see some 'life' back in him.
Presently - I call those yummy treats M&M crunchies. OH they are heavenly! I love salt and chocolate together and this is the perfect combo. You simply place a hershey's kiss (I use chocolate and peanut butter ones) on a waffle pretzle bake at 170 degrees for about 4 minutes then press an m&m into the chocolate and cool in the fridge for about 10 minutes. YUMMY. We've got an open house party tonight for my in-laws who are leaving soon to serve a mission for our church. Tonight is their going away party ...
Cheers to the 'mixture' of life!! :)
Happy Monday ----

What cute pic's! Your family is just so cute!! I love your pretzel treats. I make them with a pecan on the top. I have never tried them with an M&M. What a fabulous idea.
Your poor boy! Two weeks?! Not fun!
I love the salt, sweet combo. I made something similar last Christmas. I used those colored chocolates you get at a craft store. I bought them in red and green and melted them unto the same kind of pretzels! Yummm! I almost forgot about those until I read your post. Thanks for reminding me!
Good luck to your in-laws! Is there mission far away?
Kylene - Fun to hear from you! The M&M treats are so easy and fun - very happy with all the bright colors. I was thinking of using a jr. mint on top ...!! I love the taste of mint.
Alyson - my son has had the worst time getting over whatever he has! It's been brutal... He had to stop all extra activities (cross country & soccer) - Hopefully, he'll make a full recovery soon and get back to living! AS for the salty, sweet things :) - your green and red candy idea sounds fun. I'll have to try that. Oh as for my in-laws they are going to Ohio & West Virginia! Closer to your 'neck of the woods' - :)
Fun pictures...but please don't be mad if my favorite one is of your yummy m&m goodies:)
Kathy is awesome! I was so glad to get to know her when they lived here soon after they married. They came to a couple of our game nights. She's so sweet. I'm sure that she's a great mom!
Those treats do look yummy. I might steal that idea for the Halloween party. Hope you can come.
I love family & I love pretzels and chocolate, Yum! I must admit, I'm not looking forward to you guys moving although it's really quite a wonderful thing for both you and your in-laws. At least you have a blog and hopefully I'll run into you every now and then.
